Terms and Conditions

  1. Definitions

"Company" refers to Reactive Plumber LTD.

"Client" refers to the customer receiving the services.

"Works" refers to all plumbing, installation, kitchen fitting, bathroom fitting, and related services.

2. Quotations & Estimates

- All quotes provided by Reactive Plumber are estimates only and are not guaranteed fixed prices
- Estimates are based on visible conditions and initial information provided
- Additional costs may arise due to unforeseen issues, including (but not limited to):
- Hidden pipework defects
- Structural issues
- Water damage, rot, or mould
- Any changes requested by the Client will result in revised costs

3. Deposits & Payment Terms

- A deposit of 25% may be required before work begins
- For larger jobs, payments may be required in agreed stages
- The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Reactive Plumber reserves the right to:
- Suspend work if payments are not made on time
- Retain ownership of installed materials until full payment is received

4. Cancellations

- Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 7 days of the scheduled start date
- Cancellations must be made in writing where possible
- Reactive Plumber reserves the right to cancel or reschedule works due to unforeseen circumstances

5. Access & Client Responsibility

- The Client must provide safe and clear access to the work area at all times
- The Client is responsible for:
- Removing personal belongings and valuables from the workspace
- Ensuring access to water, electricity, and suitable working conditions
- Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional charges

6. Materials & Supplies

- Materials supplied by Reactive Plumber are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable
- If materials are supplied by the Client:
- Reactive Plumber accepts no responsibility for faults, defects, or delays
- Additional labour costs may apply if materials are unsuitable or incorrect

7. Workmanship Guarantee

- All workmanship is guaranteed for [6–12 months – choose] from the date of completion
- This guarantee does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or poor maintenance
- Work altered or repaired by third parties

8. Variations To Work

- Any changes to the agreed works (including design, materials, or scope) must be agreed before proceeding
- Variations may:
- Increase the total cost
- Extend the project timeline

9. Delays & Unforeseen Issues

Reactive Plumber LTD is not liable for delays caused by:
- Supply chain issues
- Hidden or unforeseen property issues
- Weather conditions
- Circumstances beyond reasonable control

10. Liability

- Reactive Plumber LTD holds appropriate public liability insurance
- Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out
- Reactive Plumber is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing faults or defects
- Indirect or consequential losses

11. Waste Removal

- Waste removal will only be included if clearly stated in the estimate
- Unless agreed, disposal of waste remains the Client’s responsibility

12. Complaints & Defects

- Any issues must be reported within 7 days of completion
- Reactive Plumber LTD must be given reasonable opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue

13. Completion a& Snagging

- Practical completion is deemed when the works are substantially finished
- Minor defects (“snagging”) will be rectified within a reasonable timeframe

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom

15. Acceptance

By accepting a quote or allowing work to commence, the Client agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full
